LIMS (LabStorm)


Intuitive and easy to use LIMS type system harmonizes and streamlines the work of each laboratory. Thanks to its wide configuration possibilities, it can be successfully used in laboratories of different activity profiles. The system allows to plan and supervise the course of work in the laboratory with a minimum of time, while reducing the costs of running a business. Integrated with other applications such as Documentation, CAPA or Trainings, it can create a coherent solution supporting quality management in the laboratory, and the additional Research module facilitates the introduction of innovations. The software can be delivered in the cloud or installed locally using the customer’s infrastructure.



Wide range of tested materials

The variety of solutions used in the system enables its use in laboratories of various business profiles.

The possibilities of adding new types of tested objects are not limited in any way, what is more, for each of them a separate dedicated view can be created, supporting the user so that none of the information necessary to register with the sample is omitted.

Configurable workflows

Ability to work on the basis of workflows specific for each laboratory. They are fully configurable, and thanks to the intuitive application interface, they can be modified by users without the need for advanced programming skills. They allow for a simple reflection of laboratory processes, starting from sample acceptance, selecting the type of tested material, and assigning appropriate tests to it.

The system also supports conducting tests based on cyclical workflows, for example related to routine periodic quality control. For each of these workflows, there is a mechanism for creating alerts and sending notifications about the need to perform a given test.

Tests can be linked with easily defined protocols that both help employees to perform the procedure correctly and allow for detailed control of the activities performed. Defining ranges of valid values and rules for verification of results flexibly enables the system to be adapted to a variety of scenarios.

The user can configure testing or reporting processes by specifying the required stages, such as entering the results, verification or authorizing the report, and assigning persons responsible for each step.

Customizable report templates

Reports issued in the LIMS system are based on definable templates that can be assigned to appropriate protocols. Such reports are generated in the system automatically after the research process has been completed, and an appropriate notification may be sent to the person authorized to authorize the results in the form of an e-mail or direct notification in the system.

Apart from single work request report system can generate various types of reports presenting summarized data such as tested subjects, samples, equipment and collections of historical results according to wide spectrum of search filters.

Client-oriented cooperation

The system implementation process includes a series of meetings with the implementation team, which ensures the best adjustment of the system settings to client’s individual needs. The result of the pre-implementation analysis in the form of descriptive documents and diagrams is presented for approval before starting the system implementation. We pay attention to user training, which is an integral part of the implementation process.



Resources management

Automation of work with the tested material, beginning with collection, through processing, up to the issuance of the final report, reduces costs and time of testing. The system provides support for personnel management, allows assigning tasks to users and monitoring their activity for the most efficient working time usage.

Tracking the consumption of reagents and their expiry dates, the ability to set alarms, create a database of suppliers and manufacturers with service evaluation are only some of the resource.


Supervision of equipment

The system is equipped with a laboratory equipment supervision module that allows to monitor and plan calibrations, repairs and inspections. It also allows to plan future research by reserving devices and monitoring their occupancy. Users can be notified in advance about the necessity to perform a given action. All events related to the device are recorded in the system and visible in the history of the device.

The solutions applied in the system increase the efficiency of the laboratory and ensure the smoothness of the work performed, while contributing to the reduction of the risk of downtime in everyday work caused by the lack of a reagent or failure to perform the inspection of analytical equipment.


Sample repository management

The system enables the configuration of a multi-level repository structure. The allocation of slots for samples can be done manually or with user-defined rules. Activities performed in the repository can be planned in the form of orders assigned to users, documented with appropriate reports and verified with barcodes, which speeds up repository management and reduces the chance of mistakes. All actions performed on samples in repository are recorded and available for sample audit.


Integration of devices with LIMS

Transfer of obtained results from the device to the LIMS system is crucial for quick and efficient issuance of reports. The solution based on the integration of the LIMS system with measuring devices allows for a smooth transmission of information, eliminating the need to enter the results manually. This allows for a significant reduction of the time from the test execution to the issuance of the result, also reducing the risk of mistakes.


Support for results calculations

LabStorm enable to report not only gathered raw data or values entered by user, but also formulated final results. They can be computed with simple mathematical functions as well as complex calculations, also using global or test-related constants.


Research and development

 Research module enable creating and scaling recipes, that along with ability to set raw materials prices and characteristics, accelerates final cost and parameters assessment process.

Project functionality supports companies that focus on research and development. It enables project record keeping, utilizing and creating recipes and registering validation tests results. Possibility to configure project template and table layouts along with the costs and working time benefit in effective control over conducted projects.



Each user of the LabStorm system has an assigned function and associated permissions, which prevent unauthorized persons from performing activities outside the assigned scope, as well as conditions access to individual system components. The security of stored data, which is crucial in the context of the applicable legal regulations, is supported by solutions such as encrypted data transmission, session management, automatic logout of users after a prolonged period of inactivity or temporary blocking of access to the account after too many failed login attempts. The LabStorm system is based on the LDAP protocols. This enables simultaneous, secure access to the system from many devices, including mobile devices.



The operational transparency of the system is ensured by functionalities such as audit and the chain of custody. Any non-compliance with the accepted range of values and deviations from the adopted procedures are monitored and recorded, and can also be reported in the form of a non-compliance register.

LabStorm supports standards and requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 15189, GLP and GMP.
