USER-FRIENDLY AND MODERN LIMS SYSTEM
User-friendly and easy-to-use LIMS system – harmonizes and improves the work of each laboratory. Due to its wide configuration possibilities, it can be successfully used in laboratories with different activity profiles – medical, environmental and industrial laboratories. The system enables planning and supervising the course of work in the laboratory thus saving time and also reducing the costs of running a business. Integrated with other applications such as Documentation, CAPA or Training, it can create a coherent solution supporting quality management in the laboratory.
The software can be delivered in the cloud or installed locally using the customer’s infrastructure.
Possibility to work on the basis of protocols specific for each laboratory. The protocols are fully configurable, and thanks to the intuitive application interface, they can be modified by users without the need for advanced programming skills. They allow to reflect the laboratory processes from receiving a sample, selecting the type of tested material, to assigning appropriate tests and ranges of correct values to it.
The system also supports research based on protocols performed periodically, for example related to routine quality control. For each of these Protocols, there is a mechanism for creating alerts and sending notifications about the need to perform a given test.
Wide range of tested materials
The variety of solutions used in the system enables its use in laboratories with various business profiles. The system supports both testing samples of human origin as well as research on a whole range of other types of materials, such as industrial and environmental samples, and bacterial strains. The possibilities of adding new types of tested objects are not limited in any way, what is more, a separate dedicated view can be created for each of them, supporting the user so that none of the information necessary to be registered with the sample is omitted.
Customizable report templates
Reports issued in the LIMS system are based on definable templates that can be assigned to appropriate protocols, research projects or types of tested objects. Such reports are generated in the system automatically after the research process has been completed, and an appropriate notification may be sent to the person authorized to authorize the results in the form of an e-mail or direct notification in the system.
The system implementation process includes a series of meetings with the implementation team, which ensures the best adjustment of the system settings to client’s individual needs.
Automation of work with the tested material, beginning with collection, through processing, up to the issuance of the final report, reduces costs and time of testing. The system provides support for personnel management, allows assigning tasks to users and monitoring their activity for the most efficient working time usage.
Tracking the consumption of reagents and their expiry dates, the ability to set alarms, create a database of suppliers and manufacturers are only some of the resource management options within LIMS.
The system is equipped with a laboratory equipment supervision module that allows to monitor and plan calibrations, repairs and inspections. It also allows to plan future research by reserving devices and monitoring their occupancy. Users can be notified in advance about the necessity to perform a given action. All events related to the device are recorded in the system and visible in the history of the device.
The solutions applied in the system increase the efficiency of the laboratory and ensure the smoothness of the work performed, while contributing to the reduction of the risk of downtime in everyday work caused by the lack of a reagent or failure to perform the inspection of analytical equipment.
Integration of devices with LIMS
Transfer of obtained results from the device to the LIMS system is crucial for quick and efficient issuance of reports. The solution based on the integration of the LIMS system with measuring devices allows for a smooth transmission of information, eliminating the need to enter the results manually. This allows for a significant reduction of the time from the test execution to the issuance of the result, also reducing the risk of mistakes. What’s more, LIMS enables creation of computational formulas that automatically convert raw data into reportable values.
Each user of the LIMS system has an assigned function and associated permissions, which prevent unauthorized persons from performing activities outside the assigned scope, as well as conditions access to individual system components. The security of stored data, which is crucial in the context of the applicable legal regulations, is supported by solutions such as encrypted data transmission, session management, automatic logout of users after a prolonged period of inactivity or temporary blocking of access to the account after too many failed login attempts. The LIMS system is based on the LDAP protocols. This enables simultaneous, secure access to the system from many devices, including mobile devices.
The operational transparency of the system is ensured by functionalities such as audit and the chain of custody. Any non-compliance with the accepted range of values and deviations from the adopted procedures are monitored and recorded, and can also be reported in the form of a non-compliance register.
LIMS supports standards and requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 15189, GLP and GMP.
